第1篇: 中秋节的英语演讲稿

Woo! I am so nervous. You know it is my first time for making a Englishspeech, especially face to so many colleagues, leaders and our boss. yeah!it isreally a challenge for me!

Okey! Wangyongli is here. I am from enginnerring department.. and my topicis hope keep your direction and never give up!

I feel really honored to make a speech here.

At this joyful Mid-autumn Festival, even though we cannot return home tospend this beautiful night with our family, we can get together here and enjoythe harmony and delight.

As a matter of fact, the whole company is a large family. Since I joined inthis warm family one year ago, I have learned much from the work. I learned howto adapt myself into the ever-changing environment in the possibly shortesttime. I learned how to keep close coordination with others. I learned how toopen my mind to new things and different opinions and accept others’ valuableadvice modestly. I learned how to manage my time more effectively.

“I am a fresher! ”I always say to myself. But when I saw the really newpartners. I realisied I have been here for 1 year!

For the time being here, I got a lot of help from my colleagues andleaders! I appreciate your honest help sincerely! And I hope you all can give melasting help and guidance in the coming days!

Maybe I seem less mature or experiences than my most colleagues. But Istill believe age is not important. Compared with age, passion energy andconfidence are more significant!

Admittedly, life has its ups and downs, its peaks and valleys. So Iencountered certain difficulties in the work. However, I strongly believe thebest way to success is to keep your direction and stick to your goal. Directionmeans objectives. The right direction is like a lamp. This lamp can guide you indarkness and help you overcome obstacles on your way. Otherwise, you will easilyget lost or hesitate to go ahead.

I never fear difficulties or failures. Because I believe success is goingfrom failure to failure without losing passion. In fact, the ultimate failure isnot trying, for it means you can never make progress toward your goals. As longas you keep trying and go ahead toward your direction, you will succeed and havea bright future. Just remember never give up or lose hope because nothing is tooeasy. Rainy days will end and the sky will be beautiful again.

In short, everyone should have a direction and keep this direction, nomatter what difficulties he or she will encounter.

Finally, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all good health andsuccess in your career.

And you know it is a specially day, which is the Mid-autumn Festival, so Iwish you all and your family a happy Mid-autumn Festival.

Thanks so much! That is all!

第3篇: 中秋节的英语演讲稿

A: Hello, everyone! I am very glad to share my topic with you. Then wedlike to talk something about Mid-Autumn festival today. My name is __.

B: My name is __. So, __, can you make some introductions about theMid-Autumn festival?

A: Okay. The Mid-Autumn festival is a very important Chinese festival. Itfalls on the 15th day of August. It is a time for family members and loved onesto congregate and enjoy the full moon, which is an auspicious symbol ofabundance, harmony and luck. On the evening there will be a big family dinner. After dinner, people usually taste delicious moon cakes of many varieties with agood cup of hot Chinese tea, while children run around with their brightly-litlanterns. They can also look back on the past and look forward to the futuretogether. By the way, do you know what the meaning behind this holiday is?

B;Mid-Autumn festival probably began as a harvest festival. The festivalwas later given a mythological flavor with legends of Chang-E, the beautifullady in the moon. According to Chinese mythology, the earth once had 10 sunscircling over it. One day, all 10 suns appeared together, scorching the earthwith their heat. The earth was saved when a strong archer, Hou Yi, succeeded inshooting down 9 of the suns. As his reward, the Heavenly Queen Mother gave HouYi the Elixir of Immortality .But his wife, Chang-E drank it. Then she becamethe Moon Fairy. Thus started the legend of the lady in the moon to whom youngChinese girls would pray and people would sacrifice at the Mid-AutumnFestival.

A: Referred to legends, there is another one I want to share with all ofyou. During the Yuan Dynasty, China was ruled by the Mongolian people. The kingof them was very cruel. An underground group led by Zhu Yuanzhang was determinedto rid the country of Mongolian dominance. The moon cake was created to carry asecret message. When the cake was opened and the message read,an uprising wasunleashed which successfully routed the Mongolians. What followed was theestablishment of the Ming Dynasty. Today, moon cakes are eaten to commemoratethis event.

B: Wow! How clever he is! In my hometown lies in the Minnan area, there isa custom in Mid-Autumn Festival called Moon-cake gambling. All the game requiresare six dice and a china bowl. Just throw the dice into the bowl and thedifferent pips you get stand for different ranks of awards you will win. Theactivity was invented by Zheng Chenggong to help relieve homesickness among histroops during Mid-Autumn Festival. Now, Xiamen people still believe that theperson, who wins "Zhuangyuan" in the game, will have good luck that year. Andthe Mid-Autumn Festival is the second important holiday in Xiamen besides SpringFestival.

A: Sounds interesting! The winner of Moon-cake gambling can taste deliciousmoon cakes! I usually looked forward to the Mid-Autumn Festival during childhoodbecause I could eat various tastes of moon cakes. The custom of eating mooncakes appeared in the Tang Dynasty. Ancient moon cake was eaten as a sacrifice(祭品)in the Mid-Autumn Festival. Due to the passage of time, the moon cake hasbeen changed into the Mid-Autumn Festival’s food and gifts. In the enening, family members worship the moon, and then the housewife cut moon cake by themembers of the family. Who shares moon cake more averagely, who will have moregood luck.

B: I also enjoy moon cakes. It is believed that the moon is at herbrightest on this night. The round shape of moon cakes symbolizes not only themoon but also the unity of the family. By the way, except moon cakes, I alsohear that in Taiwan, barbecuing meat outdoors has become a widespread way tocelebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Different areas celebrate the Mid-AutumnFestival in different ways, but the wishes of enjoying the moon and gettingtogether with families are the same. As the moon rises, we share it at the sametime no matter we are together or far apart.

A: That’s all. Thank you for listening.
